Ruby House Restaurant and Red Garter Saloon

Step through the swinging doors of the Ruby House and today vanishes.  The tiny jangle of a player piano sweeps you back to the 1890's and to adventure, ruggedness and elegance of the Gold Rush days.

In the Ruby House's formal dining room, red velvet draperies and wall hangings blended with polished wood banisters and beams to give the room a natural rosy glow.  Period pictures and prints rise to the ceiling in beautiful antique frames.

The Ruby House's atmosphere of western hospitality is an adventure and a place to eat, drink and enjoy history.  Though the bill of fair has expanded since Ruby's time, Ruby's high standard of quality is maintained.  For the seasoned frontiersman, cocktails are served with your choice of superb steak or buffalo.  For the young ones, who are always welcome, soft drinks are gladly served.

Every afternoon, Ruby opened for business with a boisterous, "Check your guns at the door boys, and belly up to the bar." The Ruby House Restaurant and Red Garter Saloon are located historic Main Street in Keystone only 3 miles from Mount Rushmore.  They are open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Call us at 605-666-4404 or visit us online at
